SHULMAN, MAX
SHULMAN, MAX (1919–1988), U.S. author and humorist. Shulman was known for his bright style and witty situations, and for his Dobie Gillis character. He was especially popular among college students in the 1950s and early 1960s. He also wrote for motion pictures. Among his works were Barefoot Boy With Cheek (1943), Sleep Till Noon (1949), and Rally Round the Flag, Boys (1957).
